The Character of Jesus - ONE WHO REBUKES
Read Mark 8:31-33.
"But turning around and seeing His disciples, He rebuked Peter, and said, 'Get behind Me, Satan; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but mans.'" (v. 33)
Jesus recognized the origins of Peter's remarks and boldly rebuked him in front of the other disciples. They were probably thinking the same thing as Peter.
I need to be bold enough to speak the truth even in front of well-meaning friends. They would be better off hearing the truth than speaking a lie.
