The Character of Jesus - MODELED HUMILITY

Read Mark 10:28-31.

"But many who are first, will be last; and the last, first." (v. 31)

Jesus could have been the Conquering King that everyone expected. But rather, He saw the need to be in the role of a Servant, and to model that for us. Certainly, if there ever was someone who was "first," it was Jesus...and He became last.

I need to not be so concerned with building on my own agenda, but rather, looking for ways to make others successful. I need to seek the lower place.
