The Character of Jesus - LOVE THE UNPOPULAR

Read Mark 2:13-17.

"And hearing this, Jesus said to them, 'It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.'" (v. 17)

Jesus was not concerned with His reputation--His love was unrestrained. His love wasn't clouded by the position or esteem of others. He ministered to those who knew of their destitute lives--not those who didn't think they had any needs.
I want to make sure that I'm more concerned with ministry for God's sake than with position or public esteem. "Lord, make me like You!"
